On Sept. 30, 2020, Lillian Lavelle Jordan (Lyons) Yielding, a loving wife, the dearest mother, the kindest friend, one of the best that God could lend entered into heavens gates.
Lavelle was born Feb. 18, 1938 in Profitt, Texas to the late Roscoe and Della Jordan, and was the youngest of six siblings. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, attending church and spending time with and caring for her family.
Proceeded in death by her father, Roscoe; her mother, Della; her brothers, Bloyce and Roy; her son, Joseph and her former husband, Leon.
Survived by husband Kenneth; brothers, Cagle and Tommy; her five children, Rodney, Tommy, Lynda, Laura and Andy; and her two stepchildren, Rebecca and Ricky; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9 - 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 8, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Private family services to follow.
