Walter Elie Grafton, 81, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020 in Jacksboro, Texas. Walter was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Purley Grafton and Viola (Singleton) Grafton on May 4, 1939. He joined the United States Air Force in 1956 and served our country till 1960. After getting out of the service, Walter went to work for grocery stores for the rest of his life. He worked in convenient stores from Safe Way to Lowes Grocery in Jacksboro, Texas. Walter was a people person. He loved to hunt and fish. He also loved to watch Nascar and football games.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Daniel Grafton and son in law Nathan Sicking.
He is survived today by his wife, Loretta of Perrin; three sons, Ramey Grafton and wife Kay of Corpus Christi, Gary Grafton and Polly of Jacksboro, and Joey Wilkins of Perrin; three daughters, Michelle Nettle and Brian of Bandera, Daisy Sicking of Muenster, and Wendy Wilkins and Joni of Mineral Wells; 15 grandchildren, Aiden, Carson, Cadence, Jasper, Pypar, Allena, Tiffany and Derrick, Randall and wife Lindsey, Kaytlyn and Johnny, Spencer and Michaela, Jessica, Marinda, and Kayla and Kelley; 12 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and very close friends, and daughters in law Natlie Grafton and Amanda Wilkins.
Walter will be missed. Gone but never forgotten.
Services were held 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 at Coker Funeral Home.
