Joshua "Josh" McCracken, 44, passed away after a battle with cancer on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016 in McKinney. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28, in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held at SoulThirst Church in The Colony at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29.
Josh was born May 25, 1972 in Texarkana to J.B. and Nancy McCracken. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1990, attended Texas Tech University and received his associate’s degree from Midwestern State University in 2002.
Josh married Kyra Ann Koester on June 7, 1997 in Olney and was a radiologic technologist at Medical Center of McKinney. Josh loved movies, playing his guitar, rock music, Star Wars, telling jokes, and spending time with his nieces.
Survivors include his wife, Kyra McCracken of McKinney; parents, J.B. and Nancy McCracken of Graham; sister, Megan McCracken of San Angelo; brother-in-law, Ernie Koester and wife, Karrie of Grapevine; nieces, Kalli and Emma Koester of Grapevine; and numerous other family members.
