
Lee Arnold Smith Jr., 56, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017, in Fort Worth.
Lee was born and raised in Fort Worth, attended Arlington Heights High School and Texas Christian University. He was a member of the Fort Worth Boat Club, River Crest Country Club and the Steeplechase Club.
Lee enjoyed the best of all worlds. He spent his summers in Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colo., from the time of his youth to adulthood and was an integral figure in many Fourth of July picnics. He was a talented and avid sailor, an amazing tennis player and had a great passion for and interest in unique cars.
Lee’s greatest joy was his family and he took every opportunity to travel with them and with his friends. He and his wife Bonnie loved to spend time together entertaining, traveling and doing the things that he loved the most.
Lee’s children were the center of his world, he always put their needs above his own and he thrived on being a part of their lives. Lee had an infectious sense of humor and his joy for life was known by all. We will miss him deeply.
Survivors include his mother, Virginia Street Smith; his wife, Bonnie; brother, Mark; children, Brittany Smith and her fiance , Adam Flink, Sloane and her husband, Zac Kucish, and Spencer Smith; grandchildren, Landon and Ryan Kucish and Parker Flink; nieces, Georgia and Virginia Smith.
His funeral was 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 5 at First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. Interment was held at Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials:
