Melba Jean Duncan, 85, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 in Fort Worth. Funeral services were Tuesday, March 27, at 10 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Veale Creek Cemetery in Stephens County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Melba was born Aug. 13, 1932 in Bunger, to the late Charles Alford and Willie Mable (Dooley) Johnson. She married Dean Ray Duncan Nov. 22, 1989 in Pasadena, and he preceded her in death June 11, 2000. Melba was retired and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda DeLong and husband, Bill of Southbend, Pat Evans of Odessa, Debbie Sullivan and husband, Ross of San Diego, Calif., and Barbara Hirsbrunner and husband, Ronnie of Tennessee; sisters, Shirley Master of California and Lola Rowell of Minnesota; brother, James Johnson and wife, Pam of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Ross, and sons, Kenneth Ross Jr. and Johnny Ross.
