Bobby "Bob" Deryl Gross, 83, found peace with his Lord Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 in Graham. His funeral will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. in Eastside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Bob was born Aug. 10, 1933 in Colorado City, to the late Marvin Wesley and Lydia Aileen (Roberson) Gross. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and served until 1956. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in education.
He married Faye Dell Kee on June 24, 1977 in Newcastle. Bob moved to Graham in 1992. He was a retired teacher of history and math, and a coach. Bob was a member of Denver City Masonic Lodge, a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Texas Retired Teachers Association and a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Gross of Graham; stepson, Rayford Bruton of Dallas; grandchildren, Austin Bruton and wife Torie and Rachel Lewis; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Sybil Cobb and husband Jim of El Paso and Suzie Matsler of Santa Teresa, N.M., and two nephews.
