Donald Gregg Coley

Donald Gregg Coley, 59, passed away Aug. 18, 2018 in Newark, of an apparent heart attack. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Gregg was born Sept. 26, 1959 to the late Ralph & Donna Coley of Bryson. He grew up farming and ranching with his parents and two older brothers.

He was active in FFA and showed Angus cattle at stock shows throughout the South. He spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking with his mother and grandmother. He opened his own cafe, Gregg's Place, in Bryson in 1982. He was known for his delicious pies.

Gregg graduated from Graham High School in 1977. In 1979 he married Tricia Robertson and their daughter, Allison Rachel, was born in 1981. He moved his family to Fort Worth in 1986. He later attended and graduated from cosmetology school and was successful in his career for 20 plus years. He was known for his playful banter with friends and family, his way around a kitchen and his love for his daughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Donna Coley, and hisgrandparents Hugh and Emma Coley and Frank and Evelyn Brooks. He is survived by his daughter, Allison Rachel Coley of Maben, Miss., his former wife, Tricia McCracken of Graham and numerous family and friends.
