
Ray Black, 74, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2018 at his home in Young County. A memorial service was Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Ray was born Oct. 26, 1943 in Amarillo to the late Wilburn Elvon and Elizabeth Virginia (Edwards) Black. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in Vietnam. Ray married Debbie Goray June 18, 1987 in Graham. Ray loved life, he made friends with everyone he came into contact with, he loved the car business and had been selling vehicles 47 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Graham Lions Club, and the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include: wife, Debbie Black of Graham; daughters, Amber Reyes and Oscar of Amarillo and Lisa Black Knightstep and husband, Jimi of Wichita Falls; sons, Cody Black of Stephenville and Jared Black of Amarillo; sister, Rita Black of Graham; grandchildren, Kasen Black, Macall Reyes, Hannah Hackler, Brock Reyes, Brady Black and Halle Black.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Black.
Memorials may be made to the Young County Humane Society.
