Thomas Charles Price, born September 24, 1950, descendant of Young County settlers Thomas and Annetta Price, passed away unexpectedly at home on September 7, 2018 at the age of 67, doing what he loved best, in the place he loved most.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Tom retired from the homebuilding business and returned to Murray to build a home for himself and his family on North Fish Creek Ranch. Tom was a fiercely dedicated family man, skilled hunter, talented craftsman, and lifelong animal and nature lover.
Tom is lovingly survived by his wife and best friend of 38 years, Kim (Wills) Price; his devoted canine companion of 14 years, Matty; son Taylor Grant Price and daughter-in-law Celestine (Rugh) Price; daughter Rachel Elizabeth Price and son-in-law Josh Robles; grandchildren Colette Robles and Aiden and Wyatt Price; mother Marie Elizabeth (Cookenboo) Price; sister Nancy Carol (Price) Rouse; and nephews Chris, Kirk, and Kelly. Tom was preceded in death by grandparents T.G. and Gertrude (Ditmore) Price and father Berry Glenn Price.
In accordance with Tom’s wishes, there will be no services, just whiskey drinking and storytelling. In lieu of cards and flowers, donations may be made in Tom’s name to the Humane Society of Young County. However, if you see a coyote, shoot it.
