George R. Jones, 80, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 in Graham.
A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
George was born April 5, 1936 in Menard, to the late John Henry and Nora Cassandra (Ivy) Jones. He married Emma Maurine Stanley in 1958 in Breckenridge and she preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 2013.
George retired from E&H Drilling and was a member of Country Road Fellowship.
Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Swartz and husband, Bryan of Dallas and Sandy Jones of Graham; son, Bub Allen Jones and wife, Dawn of Graham; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
