On Feb. 4, 2020, Betsy Ann Mitchell, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 80. Graveside services will be Friday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Betsy Ann (Maberry) Mitchell was born Jan. 3, 1940 in Abilene to George and Cara Mae Maberry. On June 3, 1963, she married Howard Lee Mitchell and had one daughter, Michele Mitchell Grimsley.
Betsy was preceded in death by her father, George, her mother, Cara Mae, her brother, Bobby Maberry and her sister, Dixie Maberry Shipman, husband, Howard Lee and son-in-law, Robert Grimsley.
She is survived by her daughter, Michele Grimsley, two grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan Grimsley of Graham, her twin brother, Smitty Maberry and wife, Edna of Grand Prairie, three nieces, Melody Delong of Graham, Kim Dyess and husband, Richard of Fort Worth, and Shandele Carpenter and husband, Robert of Houston, and several great nieces and nephews.
