Mattie Lee Goss, 94, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Graham. A Graveside interment will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25. A memorial and celebration of life will be held June 13, owing to travel and meeting restrictions of the pandemic. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mattie was born Nov. 10, 1925 in Cushing, Okla. to the late Purley Evans Lemons and Asa Grant Lemons. She was preceded in death by sisters Claudia Lemons Gerfen, Mary Lou Lemons Brassfield, and brother Clarence Lemons. Mattie married Bob Goss, Sept. 20, 1947 in Pecos. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2011. Mattie moved to Graham in 1952 from Wichita Falls. She was a former member of First Baptist Church Graham and later a member of Cowboy Gatherin Church.
Survivors include; sons, Danny Goss and wife Marilyn of Mustang, Okla; Edward Duncan and wife Judy of Fort Worth, and Wayne Burgess and Shelba of Gulfport, Miss.; seven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
