
Gary Dale “Gab” Sloan, 72, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in Graham.
A memorial service will be held Saturday June 27, at 10 a.m. in Newcastle at the Methodist Church.
Gary was born on Thursday July 31, 1947 in Graham to the late Elliott and Irene (Mayo) Sloan of Fort Belknap.
Gary served in the Army and re-enlisted for a second tour and was stationed in Vietnam the same time as his brother Dois.
Gary was a ‘’simple man” so if you would like to join us in celebrating his life come dressed comfortable.
He loved to hunt and fish on the brazos river and had a love for animals especially the feathered kind A private burial will be held at a later date.
Gary was preceded in death by two brothers; Runt Sloan of Fort Belknap and Dois Sloan of Murray.
Survivors include his two daughters; Becky Hardin, of Newcastle, and Marilyn Pulliam and husband Chris, of Olney. Grandchrildren; Ryan Hardin, Shyla Hardin, Taylor Lewis and wife Jordan, Will Lewis, Derreck Ratcliff, Casey Herrington and Caitlin Duncan. Great grandchildren, Tucker Lewis, Harper Lewis, Jack Herrington, Doak Ratcliff and Zack Ratcliff. Stepchildren; Debbie Driver, Calvin Ratcliff and Eddie Ratcliff.
A brother; Dannie Sloan and wife Sandra, of Graham. A sister; Judy Boone and husband David Boone, of Graham. Sisters in laws; Marsha Sloan, of Graham, and Pattie Key, of Murray.
He also had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
