Alice Louise Ellerd, 87, of Graham, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016 in Granbury.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m. in Eastside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Alice Louise was born to the late R.L. and Fay Elizabeth Montana on June 29, 1929 at home in Young County near Woodson. She married Lawrence David Ellerd on Feb. 26, 1955 in Throckmorton. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2005.
She loved being and working outside. She loved farming and ranching, she was a housewife and mother, she always had a garden and was always taking care of her family.
Alice Louise is survived by her daughter, Sandra Ann Brown and husband, Darrell and twin granddaughters, Alexandra Nicole and Alexis Danielle of Granbury; brothers and sisters, Billie Webb of Woodson, Lucy Montana of Brownwood, Mary Cribbs of Throckmorton, Doris Walters of Murray, J. Montana of Hurst, Molleye Mayo of Ocala, Fla., and Frank Montana of Rockwall; and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Van Albert Ellerd, and a brother, E.L. Montana.

Wanda Gay Young Corbett

Wanda Gay Young Corbett, 82, of Graham, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016 at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Wanda was born Dec. 13, 1933 in Eliasville, to W.R. Young "Man" and Gay Virginia Elledge. She was the fourth of five girls born and is survived by two sisters, Francis Ranch of Albuquerque, N.M. and Roberta Dye of Ranger.
Wanda graduated from Breckenridge where she was elected "Buckaroo Queen" in 1951. She married Edmond Corbett "Shuey" of Ivan and they raised their three children, Billy, Mike and Treva.
Wanda's family would later move to Breckenridge for work. She was a secretary/ accountant for First National Bank. Wanda and family later moved to Graham for work and there she worked at Graham Magnetics for several years.
She later took a job in Graham Regional Hospital until finding work at Pitcock Ready Mix where she stayed until her health declined. She loved the Pitcock family as if her own.
Wanda was a fun, good-hearted, loving woman who could light up any room and enjoyed helping others. Wanda's hobbies included quilting, sewing, gardening, canning and cooking, and she was proficient in all.
She is survived by one son, Mike Corbett and wife, Jolene of Lawton, Okla.; son-in-law, Bill Schroder of Fort Worth; two sisters, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son and daughter, two sisters, Dorothy Wright Spivey and Mattie Wright, and a special sister-in-law, Jo Ann Dollar.

Jesse Leroy Moses, 93, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 in Greenville.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. in Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Jesse was born May 27, 1923 in Fannin County to the late Frank and Eula (Shepherd) Moses. He married Claudia Carter on May 17, 1978 in Bonham. Jesse was a veteran of the U.S. Army’s 31st Medical Hospital Ship Platoon and served in the African Campaign during World War II.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Graham, and retired from E-Systems (L-3) in Greenville.
Survivors include his wife, Claudia Moses of Greenville; sons, Jesse Don Moses and wife, Margarita of Greenville, Gary Wayne Moses of Greenville, Darrell Lynn Moses and wife, Erin of Lone Oak, and Keith Wilemon and wife, Charylcie of Denton; daughter, Robin Gann, and husband, Mike of Greenville; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kaylee Moses; sisters, Bernice Jennings and Grace Bennett of Graham, Bertha Foster of Olney, Abbie Sullivan of Winters and Billie Ramsey of Fort Worth; and brothers, Erskine Moses of Fort Worth and Jay Neal Moses of Graham.

Robert Warren ‘Buddy’ Parsons

Robert Warren "Buddy" Parsons passed away Sept. 11, 2016 in Hobbs, New Mexico. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Veals Creek Cemetery. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Buddy was born Oct. 14, 1925 in Graham and lived in Graham and Wichita Falls most of his life. He was a retired pumper.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Martin and husband Harold of Hobbs, N.M.; five grandchildren, Lance Martin, Trampus Martin, Stephanie Martin, Leslee Escobedo and Amanda Martin; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Parsons; a son, Jackie Sinks, and by two brothers and a sister.

Sally L. Poole, 91, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, in Graham. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 16, at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Sally was born Dec. 2, 1924 in Parkin, Ark., to the late William Bryant and Sarah Lila (McCollum) Greenwood. She married Earl Poole on Jan. 17, 1981 in La Grange. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2013. Sally worked with Earl in the advertising business.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and Good Sam's Club, traveling over the entire United States.
Survivors include her sons, Leslie Fitzgerald and wife, Linda of Lutz, Fla. and Larry Fitzgerald of Canton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Annette Fitzgerald of Waynesburg, Ohio; foster daughter, Diane Bollinger of Waynesburg, Ohio; foster son, Don Kovatch of Monroe, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Fitzgerald;, son, Danny Fitzgerald; daughter, Martha Jane Fitzgerald; and grandson, Michael Dean Fitzgerald.

George Benjamin ‘Ben’ Johnson

George Benjamin “Ben” Johnson, 93, of Midland, died peacefully in his home on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
Ben was born on May 31, 1923, in Graham, to Bertie Davis Johnson and George Benjamin Johnson. At the age of 19, he left the family farm to serve for six years in the Navy Air Corps as a radioman-gunner, patrolling and engaging in combat and rescue missions throughout the Pacific, including Midway and Guadalcanal. He was twice awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross. His Navy Patrol Bombing Squadron, “Screaming 104,” was the only patrol squadron in World War II to receive two Presidential Unit Citations for extraordinary heroism in action.
In 1951 he married Suzanna Larmour, and the two settled in Midland to raise a family in a house they built together. Both worked in the oil industry, Suzanna as vice president of Leeper Oil and Ben as a draftsman.
A man of great generosity, humor, intelligence and courage, Ben devoted his life after Suzanna’s passing to philanthropic causes, most notably Habitat for Humanity, serving as one of the organization’s oldest volunteers from 1995 to 2016 and building over 130 houses for families in need. Of his volunteer work, he said, “The influence of Habitat on children is the most important thing I see. The glue that puts a family together is having a home.”
He is survived by his two daughters, Dyna Johnson of Canyon and Pat Johnson Mayne of Austin; his son, Sam, of Dallas; his stepdaughter, Frances Griffith; his dear friends, Tony Valles and Suzanne Brown; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Suzanna Larmour Johnson (1924-1992), also of Graham, and five siblings, Don Johnson, Lois Johnson Oliver, Bob Johnson, Eunice Johnson Baker and Ed Johnson.
The family would like to express their gratitude toward many dear friends who supported and loved Ben, with special thanks to Midland Habitat for Humanity and Hospice Midland.

George R. Jones, 80, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016 in Graham.
A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
George was born April 5, 1936 in Menard, to the late John Henry and Nora Cassandra (Ivy) Jones. He married Emma Maurine Stanley in 1958 in Breckenridge and she preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 2013.
George retired from E&H Drilling and was a member of Country Road Fellowship.
Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Swartz and husband, Bryan of Dallas and Sandy Jones of Graham; son, Bub Allen Jones and wife, Dawn of Graham; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

James Chester Rhodes Sr., 91, of Graham, formerly of Jack County, an Army veteran, passed away Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 in Graham. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Coker Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksboro with burial following at Staggs Prairie Cemetery in Mineral Wells. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, from 6-7 p.m. at Coker Funeral Home.

Roy Lee Curry Sr., 87, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, in Bowie.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in the chapel of the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.

Roy was born April 13, 1929, near Hollis, Okla., to Ernest and Tommye Curry, both now deceased. He was a retired educator, serving as a teacher, coach and administrator in Texas schools for 36 years, before his retirement in 1986. Roy graduated from Bowie High School in 1947. He served for three years as captain of the Jackrabbits football team, and was selected to the All-District football first team for three years. The undefeated 1946 squad remains the school's only undefeated team in history and won the regional championship. While attending Bowie High School, he met the love of his life, Becky Worley, whom he later married.
Following graduation from Bowie High School, he was awarded a full athletic scholarship at East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce (now Texas A&M University, Commerce), where he lettered in football and track. He graduated in 1951 with a bachelor of science degree in biology. In 1951, he received his master's of education degree from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls.
He coached at Decatur, Graham and Fort Worth. At Graham, his track teams were among the finest in the state from 1952-56. During his tenure, Graham football teams won 85 games. His 1956 team won the district title and advanced to the state quarterfinals. The 1963 Steers advanced to the state AAA semifinals, losing to state champion Corsicana, 14-13. His 1964 Steers were tied by mighty Brownwood, then defeated district champion Wichita Falls Hirschi, a team that advanced to the AAA semifinals. Through the years, more than 70 of his players received full college athletic scholarships, and four of Curry's players went on to play in the National Football League.
In 1996, he was honored by his college, TAMU Commerce, receiving the Outstanding Coach award in the Emeritus category. In 2000, he was honored as Graham High School's “Outstanding Coach of the Century.”
He later served in the Irving schools as an administrator for 17 years, including several years as principal of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz High School.
Following his retirement, he and Becky moved back to Bowie. Roy served on numerous boards including president of the Bowie Chamber of Commerce, Bowie Rotary Club president, Bowie Educational Foundation president, member of the 4B Corporate board that built the college in Bowie, president of the Bowie Library Board, and a member of the Bowie School Board. In 1997, he was honored by the Bowie Chamber of Commerce as “Volunteer of the Year.” He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowie where he served as a teacher and as a member of the Board of Deacons for several terms.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Tommye Curry; and brothers, Jimmy L. Curry; Dean Curry; and Barry Curry.
Roy is survived by his wife, Helen “Becky” Curry, of Bowie; daughter, DiAnne Dunn and her husband, Dr. James Dunn, of Bowie; son, Bronc Curry and his wife, Lisa, of Grand Prairie; and grandsons, James W. Dunn and his wife, Jennifer; and Daniel W. Dunn.

Jeffrey ‘Jeff’ Miller

Jeffrey "Jeff" Miller, 38, of Graham, died in a one-car accident on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 in Palo Pinto County.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Graham following the family graveside service. Visitation for friends will be held at Morrison Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home in Graham.
Jeff was born Aug. 20, 1978 in Graham. He graduated from Graham High School in 1996 and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church.
He was a man of many talents. Jeff was an accomplished chef having graduated from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin. He particularly enjoyed the opportunity to teach culinary arts at NCTC to budding high school chefs.
Another of Jeff's pleasures was his black Labrador dogs and time spent wakeboarding on Lake Graham and Possum Kingdom Lake. He enjoyed being around people, supporting the Graham Steers, college sports, especially the University of Texas, the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys.
Jeff especially loved answering to "Uncle Jeff.” He cherished spending time with his niece and nephews teaching wakeboarding, playing games, watching movies and most importantly, loving them. Jeff leaves a lasting legacy of always showing kindness, compassion and gratitude towards others, especially his family. He was grateful to the many friends who mentored him through life's many trials.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Alicia and Ken Haggart and Kurt and Anita Miller. In addition, survivors include sister, Cassie Leigh and husband, Spencer; nephews, Grant, Austin and Jake Leigh; sister, Ashley Rogers and husband, Adam; niece, Isabella Rogers; brothe,r Kevin Haggart and wife, Kelly; nephews, Kaden, Kameron and Kyler Haggart; sister, Meredith Miller; and grandparents, Raymond and Marie Hannah. Jeff is also survived by the love of his life, Erica Moore.

Sharon A. Huffman, 62, passed away at her home Monday, Sept. 19, 2016.  A graveside funeral was held Friday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m. in Gooseneck Cemetery in Young County.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Sharon was born Oct. 19, 1953 in Jack County, to the late Heston B. and Annie Ida Arlene Clingerman Cook. She married Wayne Huffman on April 25, 1998 in Graham. Sharon was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a self-employed caregiver.
Survivors include her husband, Wayne Huffman of Graham; daughter, Sondra Torres and husband James of Hamlin; son, Joshua Busch Jr. and Karen Lowe of Graham; four grandsons and three great-grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Young.

Douglas Wayne Lackey

Douglas Wayne Lackey, 73, of The Colony passed away at home on the morning of Sept. 16, 2016.
He was born in Archer County on Feb. 24, 1943, the son of Noah B. Lackey and Beatrice Sadler Lackey. He was reared in Loving and attended Graham schools.
He married Dorothy Dewbre on June 15, 1963 in Loving, and they had four children. Doug was a general contractor most of his life and loved raising his cattle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Lackey.
He is survived by his wife, of The Colony; sons, Lance Lackey of LaRue and Lincoln Lackey and wife, Sandy, of Rhome; daughters, Kelly Lackey of The Colony and Christy Lackey of Garland; siblings and spouses, Linda and David Wells of Abilene, Donna and Bill Rife of Fruitvale, Junior and Nita Lackey of Olney, Dorthy Lackey of Loving, Virginia Baker of Fort Worth, and Peggy and S.F. Damron of Loving; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Charles Edward Barron Sr., 82, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Charlie was born Feb. 27, 1934 in Olney, to the late O.B. and Loraine (Holder) Barron. He graduated from Graham High School and Texas Tech University with a master’s degree in education.
Charlie married Elva Lois Underwood in June 1980 in Seymour. He was superintendent of Seymour ISD and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Graham.
Charlie was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all. He was devoted to the love of his life, his sons and his grandchildren.
He was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors and was extremely active throughout his life. He relished telling stories about his hunting trips with his sons and grandsons. He was an avid golfer and sports fan with a lifelong devotion to the Texas Rangers and the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
There are many special moments that everyone who knew him will cherish forever. His quick wit and laughing blue eyes were his identity along with his huge heart and kind soul.
Survivors include his wife, Elva Lois Barron of Graham; sons, Chuck Barron of Wichita Falls and Andy Barron and wife, Stacy of Bentonville, Ark.; grandchildren, Blake, Ben, Marc and Scott Barron; and great-grandchildren, Keigan and Aiden Barron.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shirley Louise Irvin, 81, passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2016 in Graham. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Shirley was born April 17, 1935 in Oklahoma City, Okla., to the late David Allen and Marian P. (Conway) Niday.
She married Claude Irvin on May 28, 1954 at her home in Sterling, Kan., and he preceded her in death on March 19, 2015. They had two sons there before moving to Texas in 1958 and finally settling in Graham. Shirley was a bookkeeper, working for Charles Christopher for 35 years and S&S Ranch for 10 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Moreland and husband, Johnnie of Graham; sons, David Irvin and wife, Nannie of Lubbock, Doug Irvin and wife, Stephanie of Nocona, and Danny Irvin and wife, Evelyn of Rockledge, Fla., formerly of League City; grandchildren, David Irvin Jr., Doug Irvin Jr., Autumn Reo, Chance Moreland and Evan Irvin; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends and neighbors Mike and Angie Shifflett.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John Allen Niday.

Richard Warren Brannies, 61, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 in Graham. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m. in the VFW Post 8567.
Richard was born June 25, 1955 in Fort Worth, to Warren Sherril and Mattie Jean (Roberts) Brannies. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Desert Storm. Richard worked for The Washhouse and was a member of the VFW Post 8567.
Survivors include his daughter, Janice D. Abraham of Savannah, Ga.; sons, Richard Warren Brannies II of Brunswick, Ga. and Hunter Warren Brannies of Savannah, Ga.; father, Warren Brannies of Graham; sister, Loraine Brannies and Elaine Padgett, both of Searcy, Ariz.; brother, Thomas Stephens of Mansfield; grandchildren, Carson Abraham and Reagan Stastny, both of Savannah, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Jean Brannies.

William "Bill" Golden, 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 in Graham.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. in Oak Street Baptist Church. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Bill was born Aug. 6, 1938 in Electra, to the late Reeves Black and Etta Dell (Walkup) Golden. He graduated from Electra High School and married Marsha Brown on Aug. 23, 1957 in Electra. Bill owned and operated Golden's Radiator Shop for over 40 years in Graham and he was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Golden of Graham; daughters, Sydney Loftis and husband, Marshall of Graham, Kelli Roye and husband, Ross of Graham, and Wendy Farquhar and husband, Kirk of Midland; sister, Reva Jo Pickering of Waco; grandchildren, Daniel, Heather, Matthew and Thomas Abright, Eric Roye and wife, Kassie, Sarah and Hannah Roye, and Jamieson and Gracie Farquhar; and great-grandchildren, Kyler and Rhett Roye.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Holley Bea Golden and a brother, David Lee Golden.
Visitation was held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betti Friedel Saunders

Betti Friedel Saunders, 92, departed for her next journey Sept. 19, 2016.
She was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Graham, the only child of Joe B. Friedel and Eunice Covey Friedel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Saunders, retired partner in the law firm of Fulbright and Jaworski. Her father was the son of Czech immigrants, and her mother was born and raised in Fort Worth.
Betti grew up at 733 Oak St., helping her parents run their newsstand next to the Liberty Theater, where she developed her love for the movies.
At age 15, Betti graduated valedictorian of Graham High School, where she was active in interscholastic debate and speech. In 1940, she was selected to represent the Burlington Railroad in the dedication of the new Silver Queen Line, connecting Texas to Colorado, and was given a luxury trip on the inaugural journey.
Betti attended Christian College, now Columbia College, in Columbia, Mo., and received her associate of arts degree with distinction. While attending Christian College, she as awarded a scholarship to Alviene School of Theater in New York City. She performed in summer stock productions on Long Island.
She returned to Texas where she was rewarded a bachelor of fine arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin. One of the highlights of her time in Austin was touring U.S. Army bases in Texas in the University’s Cabaret Review. In 1944, she was crowned Sweetheart of the 102nd Army Division.
At the University of Texas, Betti participated in Curtain Club plays and declared her determination to become a professional actress, but her career took a sudden turn when she met Charles, the joy of her life. They were married for 65 years and were blessed with four children and spouses, Melanie Walter-Mahoney and husband Tim, C. Stephen Saunders and wife Carol, all of Austin, Cindy Saunders Buggs and husband Bradley of Houston, Shelley Saunders Eatherly of Asheville, N.C; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and devoted daughter-in-love, Patsy Saunders of Austin.
For 30 years, Betti was a professional book reviewer and founder of the Saunders Three, with her sisters-in-law, Helen Dotson and the late Kathryn Hunt, performing hundreds of musical book and play productions. Betti’s passions included travel, art, butterflies, orchids, performing arts, movies and old-time Hollywood actors. She looked forward to the Academy Awards every year. She made a point to see every nominated movie. Variety Magazine was her favorite.
Betti volunteered annually as a Girl Scout Cookie Mom, for the Alley Theater, Taping for the Blind, the Heritage Society, University of Texas Fine Arts Council, Czech Center Museum Houston, and Travel Committee of UT EXES. She started her travel adventures working for Braniff Airways in Fort Worth. In 1964, Betti and Charles joined the University of Texas Flying Longhorns for a trip to Europe and thereafter, they led large groups touring under the banner of People to People International, to Russia, China and India. They visited 138 countries and all seven continents and were members of the Travelers Century Club. Santa Fe, New Mexico and India were among her favorite destinations. No matter where Betti was, she loved a beautiful sunset. She always had her bags packed and her passport ready for her next adventure.
In 1993, in Estes Park, Colo., where the family vacationed at the YMCA of the Rockies, Betti and Charles gathered their family to ask for their blessing for the founding of the Charles and Betti Saunders Foundation. Its goal was to benefit charities locally and around the world. The family continues to meet annually to make grants to support the work of nonprofit organizations.
The Saunders family would like to thank Betti’s caregivers for all the love and devotion they have shown our mother and our family. Thank you all: Chantal Murebwayire, Nokuthula “Thula” Bhunu, Chidi Wokocha, Grace Plattner and longtime devoted friend Porfi Gomez. We appreciate and love you all.
A celebration of Betti’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, in the sanctuary of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made in Betti’s name to one of the following: Czech Center Museum of Houston, University of Houston/Downtown OKane Theatre, or Houston Area Parkinson’s Association.

Michael Henning Vogt, 76, of Graham went to be with our Lord Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 in Decatur.
Michael was born March 25, 1940 to Hans and Mary (Ryan) Vogt in Laramie, Wyoming. He was united in marriage to Alma Weigart on March 4, 1997 in Brighton, Colorado. Michael served his country in the Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 19 years, Alma LeeAnn Vogt of Graham; his sons, Timothy Vogt and wife Tracy of Denver, Colo., Gregory Vogt and wife Amanda of Colorado Springs, Charles Vogt of Graham and Billy Weigart of Graham; his daughters, Tammy Vogt of Glenrock, Wyo., and Karen Vogt of Taft, Calif.; numerous grand- and great-grandchildren; his sisters, Gale Bandsma and Lisa Halbsgut of Laramie, Wyo.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

James Clifford Richards passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016 at his home in Graham.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the First Baptist Church in Graham followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.
Richards was born July 15, 1934 in Frankston, and moved to Graham from California in 2013. He was a retired flight tester with the Boeing Corporation. He served in the Navy and was member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Patricia Richards of Graham; two daughters, Teresa Sue Michalke of Douglasville, Ga. and Linda Kay Ahrens of Williamsburg, Va.; a brother, Dan Richards of Virginia; two sisters, Elwanda Douglas of Missouri and Sharron Molloy of Bridgeport; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Anna Marie Epperson

Anna Marie Epperson, 69, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 in Graham. 
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Graceland Cemetery in Jermyn under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Marie was born March 24, 1947 in Germany, to the late John and Martha Struk. She worked at Garden Terrace as a certified nursing assistant. Marie loved her family and her grandchildren were very special to her.
Survivors include her daughter, Crystal Damron and husband, Jody of Graham; son, John McBride of Graham; sisters, Olga Clements and Sophie Donelan, both of Ohio; brother, Michael Struk of Ohio; grandchildren, Cassie Benedick and husband, Billy, Hailey Lisle and husband, Travis, and Hunter McBride and Preslee McBride; and three great-grandchildren.
